AllowFormattingCells not working on Protected sheet with UserInterfaceOnly

    Hi,

I have a workbook with several sheets which I want to protect so that the users can't change the contents. I do want them to be able to change font colour and change column widths though.

The option to change column widths is working, but the font options are locked.

The following code is in the Workbook Open event.

I have searched the forums high and low to no avail and the only thing I can think of is that the UserInterfaceOnly is interfering with the AllowFormattingCells!

When I record a macro to do it, it works fine and the code looks very similar to mine.

Any ideas would be most helpful!

    Thanks!

I have found the problem. It is that I am protecting the sheets somewhere else without the "AllowFormattingCells:= True". This workbook is called by another workbook which has that code in.
