    macro help needed to copy and paste

    is there a way to easily cut and paste every even column to the odd column above it?

    example, CUT AND PASTE A2 TO O1 A4 TO O3 A6 TO O5 A8 TO O7

    wow, i am a beginner and have never done a macro-- i'm ecstatic that there may be a way to accomplish my predicament, but i don't know the first thing to do with the info you gave me

    You posted your question under the VBA section so that's why I assuming you are looking for a VBA solution. Anyway, to insert the code.

    it worked beautifully.. thanks so much.... should i just manually delete the even numbered cells after their contents are moved or can a command be added to the macro to do that also?
