Ho to set Password Login for Workbook

    Hi all,

firstly, I apologise if this was covered elsewhere; I've spent a good three hours searching these and other forums and trying out different examples with no luck.

All I really want to do is set up my workbook to prompt for a password when opened, masking the sheets until the correct password is entered. If cancelled, the workbook should close or whatever is "normal". When closed, the workbooks password should remain (i.e. I'd rather not keep enabling the password or macro etc).

    Any help is appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Adam

You can apply a simple password protection to a work book. If the correct P/W is not entered, the W/B will not open. to do this, open the W/B, select save as, on the bottom right, select tools, general options, then enter a password in the option you want
    1. Use code tags for VBA.
Your Code
(or use the # button)
    2. If your question is resolved, mark it SOLVED using the thread tools
