Adding hyperlinks of folder contents into and excel file

I have seen 2 macros that ALMOST do what I want but I don't know how to create a macro that does what I need.

The first macro creates an index of all of the files in a folder as a hyperlink in an excel worksheet but when it updates it overwrites the entire old list and any related data in the adjacent no longer relates to the hyperlinked file.

The next macro I found creates the index and instead of overwriting the existing list when updating the index it adds any new files to the bottom of the list but it doesn't create the hyperlinks.

I need a macro that creates the hyperlinks but when it updates any new files will be added to the existing list.

Can anyone help?? I know little to nothing about programing except maybe how to get myself into alot of trouble

Any help would be REALLY appreciated as our current system of updating data is really labor intensive.

    Thanks!
