All worksheets are not visible. Can't make them visible.

Hello. I'm hoping you can help me solve this. I am covering for somebody who is out for 3 weeks and one of his files is acting up. I have no idea what is going on.

When the file opens, I can't see anything. there are no tab visibles (the file has about 14 tabs). I don't even see the little icon to add a new worksheet. It looks similar to when you have Excel, but you have closed all your files. Only the Excel ribbon is open. The zoom in/out scale is greyed out as well.

I tried to run a function making all worksheets visible, but if fails on 'For Each ws In Worksheets" saying that "Worksheets = <Method 'Worksheets' Of Object '_Global' failed>"

I have also tried making individual worksheets visible from the immediate window, but I get a 1004 run time error.
I also tried "Print ActiveSheet.Name" and got a 1004 again.
"Print ActiveWorkbook.Name" gives me a 91 run time error (Object variable or With block not set)

I have confirmed that all the sheets are set to 'xlSheetVisible' in the project explorer.

Any advice/hints is appreciated.

Hi. It's not an add-in because it has an .xlsm extension and his intstructions were to open the file. His code is crapping out because it expects some of his worksheets to be visible.

To make this harder to troubleshoot, I can't post the file because it has data I'm not allowed to share.
