    inserting a blank row

    I'm looking to insert a blank row in the second last row of a workbook anybody got the right code?
    also I have a Macro that runs and opens multiple workbooks only Problem is I have to have a work book open to run the macro is there a way of having an icon on desktop to run Macro?
    one last thing is there a way of creating a macro to send an email of a workbook Straight from excel?

    Hi Del,

    I have never heard of a way to run a macro through desktop shortcut, but maybe a google search would turn up something.

    As to the e-mail, here is a great place to get some pre-built code http://www.rondebruin.nl/tips.htm

    The macro basically uses a variable called LR to look for the last filled row in column A and when found, backs up one cell to insert a new row.
