Insert formula for calculation

I'm looking to insert code into VB to add a formula. I want to select cell B8 and use the cell D5*8. I have the following code, but doesn't seem to help:

hi madhatter40, are you sure it's this line that doesnt work? seems to work fine for me. you can shorten it further though like this:

but it shouldn't have any difference in the results. maybe you want to upload a sample file & see what went wrong

What I'm looking for id when the user enters a number into D5 to automatically updates B8. I hope this helps.
