Modifying Word Document Properties using Mail Merge and data in Excel

Hello,

I am using mail merge to generate multiple word documents using the data in my excel workbook. For ease of use and searching documents we are trying to automatically change or modify the created word document properties. For example If I have generated a word document XYZ.doc, I want the title of the document to be ABC and Subject to be DEF and this has to be done at the time of mail merge if possible as the number of word documents are voluminous.

Alternatively, I am also trying to modify the document properties of the word document generated after mail merge using another excel workbook.

I am think it is easier to first create different word documents and then modify their document information using data available in an excel workbook and macro.

Hi Everyone,

I am uploading a zip file containing some dummy word files, a sample excel workbook and JPEG Image of the windows explorer view required.

The Excel Workbook contains document properties information. I want to use a macro to updated the document information of thedummy word files with the data in excel workbook. The expected end result is as shown in JPEG file.

Since I am novice in macros I am finding it difficult to do this. Hoping for some suggestions on this.
