Suppressing a pop up which asks for password

    Hello,
I'm trying to unzip a encrypted zip file but while unzipping it is asking for password ( a pop up opens).I want this pop up not to open or else it should get closed automatically. I "ApplicationDisplay.alerts=False" and "Application.ScreenUpdating=False" but both of them didn't solve my problem. Please help me solve the issue ,very urgent.
Thanks for any help in advance

    Hi Ashok.

    Welcome to the forum.

I believe this is a "wish" of all people who wish to open a password protected file (zip).. but I don't think this is possible as per my knowledge.. If this would have been possible, then some companies (hackers) may not be wasting their time to create / sell password breakers.. ha ha

    okay.. got the point
What I can guess here... Excel can control its own display alerts. So when you open a zip file, it is something related to messages which are out of the scope of Excel and controlled by that zip program or Operating system. It's something like moving / deleting a file when that is already in use and then you get a display message saying something like "file is in use & can't be deleted". thanks.
