any idea to make the "target cell" of a drop-list variable

I would like toshow a drop-list on 1st cell of a column, and get the choosen value inserted in the previously clicked-on cell:
example: my drop-list is on top of column A, (and peurhaps linked to A1). it refers to a list of cells - containing: yellow, green, red
What I need is if I click on cell A5 then I choose "green" in the drop-list, then "green" goes in cell A5
and if I click on cell A6 and choose "yellow" in the drop-list then "yellow" goes in cell A6
one way is probably to insert some "intelligent VBA" in cell A1 ?.......Thanks

Can you help on extending to different columns with diff. values...
My goal is to make this work column by colum, so dissferent drop-lists on A1,B1, C1, etc....each drop-list should with different variables( drop-lists content ranges on worksheet2.A,B,C..)
example: A1= product-name-list, B1=Product-color-list, C1=product-size-list....
then I can include let's say "my order" in Row 2 , by selecting a particular prouctname inA2, with choosen color in B2, and preferred size in C2.....
.....As you can see I'm just a beginner!
