Saving a copy of excel file in a remote network drive through vba

    Hi all
in the firm that I work every PC is connected to a network. While the local PC's hard disk is denoted as C:\ and D:\, the remote server is denoted as X:\. A space of 100 GB is allotted for our factory in the remote server drive. When we double-click X:\, it opens as a local drive and I can save files in it manually. I use an Excel spreadsheet to save various production data everyday. I want to know whether it is possible to save a copy of the file in the remote server (X: Drive) through VBA, every time I save the file.

    thanks in advance

    Its possible.

Press Alt + F11 on your file. It will open a visual basic editor. On the left hand side you will ThisWorkbook. Double click on it. It will open up a blank code window on the right side. Copy paste this code into the code section on the right -

So once you close the current workbook, it will also save a copy in the file path specified.
