Control Text Box - Reference Not Valid

I've got a section in my worksheet where I want imformation to be typed in or pasted.

I need this text box to have a scrolling bar as potentially a lot of information could be entered.

I've inserted a text box using the control tool box.

I cant enter any information! In the formula window it states =EMBED("Forms.TextBox.1",""), and if i try and overwrite this or click in the text box an error message "Reference not Valid" appears - can anyone help me please?

can u upload a sample book with your required formula which u want to put?

Thanks for your response. I dont have a formula, I just want to enter free text in the text box?

follow the following steps:
1. Go to Developer tool
2. Insert a Text box (Active x Control)
3. Select the textbox
4. Right click and select the Textbox Object then select the Edit
5. Now you will found that your cursor will be in the textbox
6. Now you can write any thing else in this text box
