Unhappy Create a column to copy date(s) from the table heading(s) into each row of the spreadsheet

I have a standard spreadsheet output which includes a date in the heading for a group of data in one row. This is then followed by followed by several rows of associated data and then another table heading appears with a new date.

In order to do more analysis I would like to label each row of the spreadsheet with the appropriate date, which I currently do manually. Column G in the attached spreadsheet is what I have done manually, and if possible I would like to be able to reproduce in a more automated fashion given the spreadsheet tables get quite long. Where is gets tricky is that tables are not all the size and the dates are not necessarily in time order. Any help would be appreciated?

    Thanks

Re: Create a column to copy date(s) from the table heading(s) into each row of the spreads

    Wow that was quick. -

Is it possible to have the dates in same format ie 11/12 represents a financial year 2011/2012 & 12/13 represents 2012/2013 rather than the month and the year.

Not sure what happens at the bottom part of table is change format along the lines of 13/14 which is the desired format for all entries

I don't understand how you are doing but it looks like you use the colour of the cell in some way.

    Truly appreciate your help

Would you mind sending me the spreadsheet with the new code? My copy & paste didn't seem to work.

    Sorry to trouble you again

    Thank you very much

I try to applt the code you gave me to the same data set but it had added columns. So I thought I simply change the column reference - but I had no joy.

I thought it was all done.

Any chance of any further help?

    Greatly appreciated
