    Working with Shapes and PowerPoint

I am trying to automate a task in excel in which I insert shapes in a column based on what exists in an adjacent column. It is basically acting as an indicator. I have the VBA written out that reads the input from the adjacent cell and inserts the shape and formats it as I wish. However, when I copy and paste both columns into PowerPoint, the shapes are distorted and look very sloppy. I am using squares, arrows, triangles, etc -- both filled and unfilled. I have tried paste special in PPT with all the methods there. Is there something else I can do to prevent this distortion. Or is there perhaps a better way to get some sort of indicators in adjacent cells that will copy to PPT better?

    Thanks for tips!
