    Automatically Naming Tabs with Dates

    Hello All,

I am trying to write a code that will automatically name tabs in an Excel 2003 spreadsheet based on dates that are in the master sheet. This is a weekly project and the dates change from week to week. I have the rest of the cells set to pull information, but cannot seem to get this to work. I tried other codes I found on this forum, but they either work intermittently or cause errors that need to be debugged. I would love a code that will work for all of my tabs and will not crash my worksheet. The dates start in cell D1 and go across the row to cell G1. The master sheet is called "Roll Up" and I would like the date in mm.dd.yy format.

I appreciate all assistance in this matter.

Your dates in Range"D1:G1" need to be in format required.

    John,

Am I supposed to insert that code in addition to my other code or in place of it? When I pasted the code in the "ThisWorkbook" code section on it's own, nothing happened.

I suggest you test it first by placing it in a standard module too see if it does what you want. If it does than you can call it into your current procedure or replace your current procedure, whichever you find returns the best results.
