Macros enabled workbook keeps saying macros are disabled

hey so the issue i am having is with macros being disabled when they are set to enabled. i have several computers that the macros are working on and i have a handful of computers that keep getting this message the macros in this project are disabled. "please refer to the online help or documentation of the host application to determine how to enable macros." the other message i get is "Cannot run the macro the macro may not be avalible in this workbook or all macros may be disabled." any ideas how i can fix this issue

    Hello joker3,

Why not post the worbook for review? It will be easier to identify the problem.

    To Post Your Workbook
    1. At the bottom right of the Reply window, Click the button Go Advanced
    2. At the top of the Your Message Window, in the first row of icons, Click the Paperclip icon.
    3. Click the Add Files button at the top right in the dialog box. This displays the File Manager dialog.
    4. Click the Select Files button at the bottom middle of the dialog.
    5. In the new window Find the file you want to upload, select it, and Click Open.
    6. You will now be back in the File Manager dialog. Click the bottom Middle button Upload File.
    7. Wait until the file has completely uploaded before you exit the File Manager dialog.

    Hello joker3,

I didn't have any problems opening and running the workbook on my computer. After looking through your code, I see you do access a workbook on a network.

Two things to watch for are people have the proper access rights to the file and the users are not overlooking the Security message that is sometimes displayed over the Formula bar to enable macros.

yea it is used on a network. and the majority of the computers that access this report can access it. but there are some computers that give the error. i know that the security settings have been adjusted because i have personally gone through and changed them. and i still get this error. i have changed anything that could be to activate macros and it just won't utilize them.

    Hello joker3,

You are sure all users have network rights enabled to run VBA macros from their accounts?

Re: Macros enabled workbook keeps saying macros are disabled

    Hi,

I am new to excel. All that i have been doing thus far is collecting excel sheets and modifying them to suit my requirements. I am into automotive service and hence the list of items that i deal with is large. I got a form fill excel which reduced the job card entry work from a maddening process to something that can be filled within 3 minutes. But now, after completing the changes, I get the same error message!! ie; "Cannot run the macro the macro may not be available in this workbook or all macros may be disabled." and "please refer to the online help or documentation of the host application to determine how to enable macros."

I tried enabling all macros in the macros security section and adding the file in the trusted location. But nothing seems to work.

Any help that i can get to get the stuff working back again??

    Thanks in advance

    Cheers!!

    Ajith
