Any ideas on another way to tackle this? I usually use a macro to select all the names on a staff list. This takes a lot of maintenance however to enter and delete the names from the macro. Is there any way to have the macro reference straight from an excel staff sheet?

You would better off with a List and Define the list using a "Named Range".
Then you could do a Lookup or use Data Validation

After letting this idea settle, I think that would be the best solution.
