Can I refresh ONLY selected data from an external source?

Mods, if this it not in the correct place feel free to move.

I have a worksheet that is getting external data from an MS query. The original had about 10k lines of data. A lot of it was stuff that I did not need for my project and I was able to adjust the query to whittle it down further. There are still several hundred entries that I would like to eliminate, but I either have to enter individual "not like" or "not equal to" arguments in the query or delete them out of my worksheet individually.

If I individually delete the lines that I do not want they (naturally) re-appear when I refresh the data from my external source. The problem is that this data interferes with my goal and thus I would like to keep it disappeared. Is there a way that I can only refresh selected data? Is there an easier way to do what I desire that I haven't been able to google or think of?

Nothing at all? I figured someone would at least tell me "duh, just do X and you'll get the result you're after."
I really cannot find any way to perform a selective data refresh.

Hello,
You state the data query brings in 10k lines of data... Does this mean rows of data, and if so, how many columns of data get brought in? 1 of these column headers must have something for which you can filter out the unwanted info. A date... A number... Without knowing what you wish to bring in & what you wish to filter out. Help will be hard to provide.
