    Pivottable won't show new entries

I have a Pivottable with a named dynamic range that will auto refresh, however it doesn't always pick up new entries to the data range. In the attached workbook, I added the "2010 November" entries to the bottom of the data. The rnage appears to include the new entries, however the Pivot table does not included the data. Any ideas on what I'm doing wrong would be appreciated.

    Thanks.

    • Your pivot table filter does not have "2010 November" checked. After adding data and refreshing the pivot table, you may need to select any new items in the filter.

    • Also, your dynamic range is including many more cells than necessary.

    Does that help?

Thanks, Ron. That explains the problem. Is no way to automate this process such that the user does not need to adjust the filter for nre entries?

    Thnaks again.

    Sure there is....

Put this code in a General module:

It will clear the filter on the YEAR/MONTH column (displaying all items) then hide the text-blank and blank items.

Then replace your Worksheet Activate code for the Recapture Report tab with this:

Is that something you can work with?
