    OpenAfterPublish will not work MAC

    hello everybody i really learnt a lot from this forum i just could not figure something.
    openafterpublish:=true isn't this supposed to open the file after saving it.i cant get it to work.everything beside this works fine.
    i am able to export a pdf file of a selected sheet and saving it but the file will not open after saving.it works just fine on Pc but not on mac
    this is my script

    in my tests too the openafterpublish just doesn't work-and the output pdf has the sheet name added to the file name which may be related to the problem. only solution I can think of is to use macscript to open the file in preview after it's exported

    i tried your code but nothing changes. it export the pdf but it does not open it.

    all I can say is it works for me-although the pdf opens in the background. does the name of the created pdf match the file name you were expecting?

    yes the file name is exactly as i want but it does not open the file, in windows it does work perfectly,when i change the save location

    Ok thanks i will keep trying.im sure that i is not opened in the background,
    Is it possible to make a second button only to open that file with the name in those ranges

    that's what the added code should do-it tells finder to open the specified file.

    are you certain the PDF has the file name you expect? it's a known bug that 2011 adds a sheet name to the file name you specify and it always does it for me; the code as posted does not cater for that because you said the name was correct but that would be an obvious reason for it to fail
