Convert Excel to Stand Alone EXE

I have a rather complex application written in Excel. It is used by a number of users with different versions of Excel. Is there any way that I can convert this "application" to some form of EXE that does not require Excel and could be run on both Windows and Mac. I know that is a big question but I have 'hit the wall' so to speak in trying to debug the issues with various version of Excel for Windows and Excel for the MAC. Like Windows Excel 2007 handles graphics in a different fashion than any other version. Excel 8 for MAC does not support VBA. I recently tried to run my "application" created in Excel 2000 in Excel 2013. It runs but not the way I would like. If there is no easy 'compiler', is there any other language that would be recommended if one wanted to totally rewrite the application. This "application" uses many of the Excel Cell, row, column, etc. features and seems as though it would be a challenge to rewrite it in another language. But hopefully someone out there will have a answer. I would like to have an independent application that does not required Excel of any version.
THANKS in advance - I really need some help.

PS: I will gladly provide the "application" for anyone that would like to take a look at it to see what can be done.

Re: Convert Excel to Stand Alone EXE

Thanks ... and yes MACs do not run EXEs but they do run something as I have looked at some converters that will convert for both Windows and MAC (but still rely on Excel being present). I understand that if I need a consultant that this might not be the place to find one. But do you know any or how I might find one?
    Thanks
