    Excel query files and buttons

    Hi there

I made my excel 2003 sheet into a relational database and created some query files. I can click on these and they open automatically in Excel 2003 on my machine. I need to use them on a Mac also, if I try to open them on the Mac they are not recognised. Any ideas what I need to do, do I need to install a conversion tool?

I am also trying to design a spreadsheet with buttons on it to run the various queries but I can't see how I can point the button it to the query file.

Any help with these two issues would be appreciated.

    Many thanks in advance.

    Marie

This might not solve your problem, but if you are using buttons to activate a macro, it’s nice to know:
Mac cannot handle ActiveX controls, which means that when you open a workbook on a mac with ActiveX controls you would not be able to run the macrocode. Instead, use form controls as described here: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/291073/en-us

Thanks, that is good to know and will keep it in mind, but as far as I know I'm not using ActiveX.
