Getting the worksheet from which a range was set using the inputbox

When I use the inputbox function to get a range the range that is returned is not associated to any particular worksheet. Is there anyway to return both the range address and the name of the worksheet which contains the selected range. Or anyway at all to get the worksheet without having to manually input the name? The parent property doesn't work because as I said, the range that is returned seems to be just a cell address.

The code works great as long as the active worksheet is "BOM". Other wise I get a "subscript out of range" error at

So does anyone have any ideas. I really want to know how to return the name of a workbook who's name cannot be predicted... from an Input box or some kind of non-manual entry. There has to be a way.
