    Thanks AB33

however, when it gets to row 16538, the inserted data appears as format 'General' and not 'Text'

You could also try the following, not sure which method is faster/better, but it's an option nonetheless.

    Re: fill in the blanks

The formatting is nothing to do with the code. It is a formatting issue with that particular cell or column. You need to go into the formatting and change it.

    Re: fill in the blanks

can you help with this too?

Let's assume there are columns A to H
If column H for any row is greater than 0, i want data from column D till H for that row to be inserted below the row

    e.g.

    Sample data:
    A 1 2 3 A 1 2 0
    B 1 2 4 B 2 2 3
    C 1 2 3 C 2 2 6
    D 1 2 7 D 1 2 0

    desired output:
    A 1 2 3
    B 1 2 4
    B 2 2 3
    C 1 2 3
    C 2 2 6
    D 1 2 7
