Macro to auto select adjacent cell then cell underneath

I have used options to select the cell adjacent rather than underneath when hitting enter.

However, I need this to be the case for column A, but for column B when the user hits enter I would like excel to jump straight bellow in column A.

So they select A1, input data and hit enter- it jumps to B, input data and hit enter- jump to A2.

I have it jumping to B1 but I'm not sure how to make the second jump.

Maybe some sort of event macro..?

    Hi Strud

Do you really need a VBA.. I dont hink so..

    lets say: Select A1 : B25..

    Now start writing..
It will only select around the selected cells..
    I mean.. A1 > then B1 > then A2 > .... and so on

I have put it into the worksheet code but when I hit enter in B1 it just selects the adjacent cell.

I think I have almost cracked it, well at least i think I am on the right lines:

the code provided by nilem works...if you type in cell b1, hit enter, it jumps to a2, type in a2...it jumps in b2

Yeah apologies I hadn't actually put into the worksheet code (I had stuck in the module by mistake) :S

    Yeah works perfectly now.

    Thanks for all your help!
