Autofilter in Excel 2010 not working in Excel 2003?

Hello,

I have a very simple macro that I made using the macro recorder in Excel 2010. First, it sorts column "B", which contains dates, from oldest to newest. Then it sorts column "B" from A to Z.
It worked well for me many times. However, my colleague cannot get it to work in Excel 2003. Any help or suggestions are much appreciated.

Hi, Jallie,

to my opinion it´ßs not the Autofilter which causes the problem but the Sort-Algorithm you use (because that´s only available from 2007 on). Maybe get back to the old Sort and Excel2003 VBA will understand your commands.

Sorry for the late reply, as I was away this weekend. Thank you for clarifying this point for me! I didn't know that this feature was only available in Excel 2007.

let me put this right: there was a sort in the versions of excel prior to 2007 which loooked like this

From 2007 this sort is still working (in addition to the code that you supplied). According to my memory the Autofilter before 2007 did not feature the Sort which you used but with the sample provided you should be fine.
