Odd problam - keys move the opposite direction

    Hi,

I run into an odd problem - I have a perfectly functional worksheet, but once I protect it (some cells are locked, some unlocked), the right and left arrow keys work the opposite direction.

Does anyone know a solution to the issue?

    Thanks

    Hi,

The arrow keys are most likely working correctly. You have protected your sheet so the next unprotected cell is being jumped to. Your mind is telling you that the arrow keys are moving backwards but it is moving the correct direction but to the next unprotected cell.

    Does this make sense?

Actually it makes sense - since I write in Hebrew, my sheet is from right-to-left, but I suppose as you said the excel is programmed to jump to the "next" cell when clicking the right button, therefore jumping to the next column (on the left).

I guess the only solution is what JasperD suggested

    thanks
