    Normal Invoice System in excel

    Hi Sir/Madam

    Currently i try find a excel system which can help me do on below for my home business, i've try to search online for alternative solution but fail, hopefully here can get me an answer,

    Basically i need

    -searchable of the product name which link to sheet"Product List" / from the tutorial from internet is using drop down list but i not sure how to apply in every sheet.

    -the price in every sheet will refer back to sheet"product list" as well as the customer category . because diff customer we will gv them diff price. Should be using Vlookup function ?

    -the invoice number will accumulate count and insert to sheet "invoice" with the customer name and amount receive
    after user press check out button

    -When user press check out button , the existing sheet will clear all the number , description and other, and export one excel sheet to //drive D or E /folder name( follow by customer name) / invoice number follow by date
    example (D:/MR808/INV001_270613)

    Hi, Steve,

    I wonder why you would need to work with different sheets for different categories. Changes have been made to Product list as well as MR 808 (which could be used for all customers). No programming has been added as of yet. And same as usual: why on earth use MergedCells?

    thank for your time to do this, my home business was selling vege in market and most of the customer are paid on noon time, i need create different sheets in case i need open diff invoice in same time,

    by the way , can we improve the drop down list function, because the product we sell maybe more than 100 type. it is hard to search one by one. something like when we type "food", it will auto gv result "food a, food b, food c, and so on.

    how about request on below, can it be done as wel

    As you want to save the Sheet as a different workbook Sheet MR808 may be used as a template to copy the sheet which you can fill out (no need to keep a certain number of worksheets prefilled in the workbook).

    Yes and no: yes if you use list for DV to narrow down (first for the general item which would lead to load a list responding to that into the second DV). Caveat: If you alter the first DV it wonīt alter the second one (you would need to open that again and choose a new item there). So you would need 2 DV with a couple of different lists to use Indirect to point to the proper list.

    No autocomplete with DV AFAIK. That yould mean using either a Listbox or a Combobox which would deliver the Autocomplete with the first hit. But I doubt itīs a good idea to implement that into a worksheet for a couple of lines.

    Still no VBA code - AB33 mentioned the commercial services here at EF: have you considered that possibility?

    do me a favor, please help me apply this http://www.contextures.com/xlDataVal10.html data validation auto complete function to my excel sheet.

    i've try put the vba in my sheet but the result wont come out.

    Hi, Steve,

    you should follow each and every step on that site but decide in advance if you want to use pure Data Validation (as is right now) or proceed according to the example you linked. To me thereīs no use in having both for the same cell.
