Remove specific parts of text in a cell

Attached is a sheet of football scores. Each team name on the sheet is followed by a "G" and a number. I'm trying to remove all instances of this G and number reference and just leave the team names as they are. The first line in the sample sheet shows what I'm trying to achieve.

    Thanks.

    Try this...
    • Select all of your data
    • CTRL+H...(shortcut for find/replace)
    ...Find what: G?* <-that's a space...followed by: G?*
    ...Replace with: <-leave this blank
    ...Click: Replace all

    Does that help?
