I have two XLS files and with one of them, this menu is there and one of them it isn't. I'm not sure why this is happening, although the file that does *not* have the menu option available began as a XLSM file. I re-saved it as an XLS. What am I missing here? It's been a while since I worked with Excel in depth...

the one that doesn't have the menu is an activex commandbutton and not a forms button-you do not assign macros to activex buttons but use their click (and other) events instead
