The workbooks could be of any name and I like the VBA to sum any new workbook saved in the folder too.

You'd need to be more surgical in your explanation.
1) Open all the files in a specific folder one at a time
2) Sum the values in cell A1 on sheet1 in each file
3) place the sum in a master workbook on sheet "master" in cell A1
Something like that, very complete.
