I use Excel 2010 to enter statistical data into a shared worksheet, other users of this sheet have a nasty habit of overwriting data accidentally when they unlock the worksheet they are working on.

I am looking for a way that once I am done entering data into a row, I can click a "button" (a rounded rectangle) that will lock all the cells in that row. I don't necessarily need it to change colors, but would prefer it to be red when Locked and green when Unlocked.

Any takers?

(I'm sure this is child's play for most of you, but I am just not well versed in Macros.)
