Hi,
I have a worksheet which shows daily expenses for that month. Likewise, I have one sheet for each month with a total of 60 sheets for 5 years. I want to be able to group the expenses under a few key items, say, Gas, Food, Etc. The search string would only be "Gas", "Food" ... I would like to write a Macro that would search for multiple instances of this string in that worksheet, then copy the numeric value in the adjacent cell (to the right) for all of them and add them all. Right now, I found a macro that would just find the "String" and copy it to a "destination String". I could continue on this or I am OK to change over to something new. I am total newbie and this is my first exercise using Macros. Please help.
