    Trying to Write a Macro to SaveAs Cell "P3" in a Permanent Folder

    I am new to VBA/Macros and am having problems writing a Macro to save a macro-enabled file referencing cell P3. Here are the specifics:

    Workbook Name: 3 Page Manifest Template_Macro_SaveTest
    ActiveSheet name: Page 1
    Refencing Cell: P3

    There are several other sheets in the workbook that must remain in the newly saved copy. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

    Jordan;
    Welcome to the forum. Would you please expand on your explanation what you want to do. When you say you want to save a file referencing cell P3, does this mean that P3 contains the file name you wish to save as instead of the workbook name given. I am confused by your request. Please try to clarify.

    Alan,

    Precisely! Each time I run the macro, I would like it to save the file name as P3. P3 = Atwood-8/13-7 and I would like the file to be saved as Atwood-8/13-7. Thanks for the timely response.

    Alan,

    I would like to save those files to a folder on my desktop too.

    try this the following. Make sure that you change the folder name for your computer where my code says YourName to the appropriate folder name.

    I assumed that you are running WIN 7. If not then the path will be different and will need to be readjusted for the operating system you are running.
