    Horizontal Data Filtering - Drop down boxes

    Hello partners,

    I have the following problem:

    Let's say I have a list of 10 rows. The first column contains Country of Birth (the same country could be repeated in some rows). In the 2nd column contains age, and finally in the 3rd column contains the person's name.

    I want to have 3 dropdown boxes to fillter the data and be able to get to the name

    Here's an attached example! Thank you!!!

    Hello barqujo,

    In case you can not use VBA, the attached workbook uses formulas and helper columns to create unique validation lists.

    The OP Excel version is 2003, it will not support IFERROR function.

    @AlKey,

    I decided to leave it with the IFERROR eventhough the workbook is an earlier version. Many posters do not always update their profiles, so I tend to error on the side of the most recent version unless told otherwise by the OP.

    Re: Horizontal Data Filtering - Drop down boxes

    Thank you all for your responses,

    Perhaps I didn't explain myself

    For example, when "USA" is selected in the first dropdown box, the second one should display only the ages of the people form USA. Once the age is selected, the third dropdown box should display the names that match with that age and country

    Thank you!!

    MickG you almost have it, however the ages don't change accordingly to the country, and there are some missing names!

    Thanks

    Hello barqujo,

    The attached workbook has the code below added to it. There is also a sheet named "Lists". There are three dynamic named ranges on this sheet that the macros and Data Validation drop downs use. This version returns the data as you described.
