I need to write a subroutine to calculate scores for golf's Stableford system. I can do it in 15 minutes with Fortran, but VBA ios not as easy for me. I would appreciate a bit of modernizing from one of you.

Luathaid gu deanamh maille! (Rushing causes delays!)
Modified Stableford: Eagle=5, Birdie=3, Par=2, Bogie=1, Double Boogie=0

I know you are asking for help with a macro and I'm sure Leith will help with that.
If you are interested here's a workbook that was put together for a golf club a few years ago.
It might be of some use to you, or at least give you some ideas.
It calculates members data, competition/event results, individual score cards, etc.and also stores data for courses visited.
There are some details specific to "Club Rules", but it is all based on standard scoring rules.
With Sheet "Master"
1/. Select the course being played from the drop-down in A2
2/. Select the players in the event in A10 down.
3/. Fill the returns in B10:S10 down.
