Live Updating Powerpoint Errors

Hi

I have a code that does the following in excel:

1.) Opens a series of other spreadsheets, runs other codes, and updates data.
2.) This happens in a cycle using the "ontime" command
3.) I have a powerpoint open in a continuous loop that has the "update links during show" plugin
4.) The powerpoint therefore shows the refreshed data almost live.

However, there is occasionally an error in powerpoint where "The source application is busy and can't respond immediatley." If I press retry, the powerpoint goes back to normal, refreshing the data. This is a problem because the idea is that the powerpoint shows live data in public and is "set and forget"

My question is "is there a way to get powerpoint to automatically press retry, or ignore this message. Is there a work around?"
