CountIF based on Month in call and Name in Cell

Hi guys!

Need a little bit of your expert skills on this one.

I currently have a spreadsheet that contains 2 sheets..

Sheet 1 has:
- Names of employees in Column A from A4:A5000
- Date in column G from G4:G5000

Sheet 2 :
- Names of employees B7:B21
- Number of times employee appears in Sheet1!A4:A5000 from D7:D21
- Current Month B2 (User has the ability to choose the month)

What I would like to do is have a fomula that calcultes the number of times the employees name appears in Sheet1 (Names are listed in Sheet2!D7:D21 but to take in factor the month that is chosen in <
SHeet2!B2 and to return only the number of times the employee name is repeated in that particular month.

This sounds like a very simple Pivot Table answer. You could filter by Month or Name and count the times the name appears in a month or ...

Look at Pivot Tables of your data or supply a sample workbook and we can show you how...
