    Matching rows

    HI!

    I am looking for macro to match rows.If a row has 2 or 3 or 10 fields and is matching with any of the rows in the same worksheet then the duplicate row should get highlighted in red and should appear next to the matching row.

    I tried Excel 2007 "Duplicate function but its not matching my requirement.

    Hi Lovinguy,

    sorry, but still you r requirement is not clear, atleast to me..

    Do you want only row 1 & 2 to highlight, as all data are exactly same with another one..

    or you want to all rows in the attached to be highlighted.. as atleast 2 fields are matching with another row..

    Please clarify..

    But I have 12 columns and I want to find duplicate rows depending on various columns.Like finding duplicate rows based on no. 2,4,5 columns or based on 6,9,10 columns.

    Anybody else can help me.

    Hi lovinguy,
    Maybe conditional formatting? Change the formula in auxiliary column G to keep track of only the desired columns.
