Repeat sheet offset values need removing somehow?

Cant believe I haven't been on this site before now, it is excellent. Have done some searching today, but can't find an answer to my problem. So here it is....

1 sheet = list, remaining numbered tabs feed into list from constant cell (defined name as "name")using "sheetoffset(A4,name)".
This means I can add/delete or swap sheet order and list is still ok. However, there are cases when different tabs can be added which have the same results in defined name, which is a problem.
I need the list only to show individual defined name, not repeats of, and without gaps.
