Hello,
I have two cases, that I like to click the textbox (Macro) to hide or unhide the rows.
Then the text in the text box would change to "See more" or "Hide rows" respectively.
The orther case is for columns that works the same way as for the rows.

Jaslake, I was trying to work out the problem while you already posted so I didn't see you provided a sample solution. Thank you for posting, it helped me with understanding that you can attach values to shapes- so much to learn as a complete vba noob
