Open another excel file while running macro

    Hi,
I have an excel macro deployed at production level.
The macro captures some information from user using VBA forms.
While this macro is open, if user wants to switch to another excel file, the user is not able to do so.
but when user closes the VBA form, he/she is able to open another excel file which is minimised.
Users open 2 excel files before working, in that one is our macro file.
I want even when user has opened our macro file(Which inturn opens an VBA form) to view the second file which is minimised.

Can some one please help me regarding this.

    Thanks,
    JP

Re: Open another excel file while running macro

The user is repeatedly (>10^5 times) generating Random permutations on n items (n ~ 100) through a macro. This might take around 10-15 mins (or more) to get done. So, if the user can open the excel workbook to do other tasks, while the macro is running , it would be nice. (It would typically be a different workbook from the one in which macro is running). Please let me know if this can be done and if yes, any performance effects that it might have on the macro which is running. Thanks.
