    duplicating Data Macro

    Hello.

I am in need of help for creating a macro that will duplicate 6 entries of many colums to match column entry AJ.

if you look in AJ, it has 6 entries for a single gene, and I am looking for a macro that will duplicate all the other entries to have a one to one correspondence with the column AJ.

I will appreciate all your help.

    Re: duplicating Data Macro

So here is the problem. I have a huge data sheet. Now if you look at Column AJ, they orginially were all located in different individual columns, and I had to transpose them into a single row as they are now. The problem now is for the individual gene PAAPFA, there is only one row entry for every item (this is how the data was orignially made) , yet after following protocol I have AJ with 6 rows. This means that the all the other rows need to be one-to-one correspondence with row AJ. in other words, I need to come up with a Excel formula that copies all the rows A:AI and copies each entry in the first row, into duplicate 6 rows. I need help with this excel formula.

To be clear, each entry in each row needs to be duplicated 6 times, so that they all match with row AJ.

If you can help with this, that would be tremendous.

    Re: duplicating Data Macro

also note the attached file is for one gene, i have 253 genes. with 30-40 columns

this means that each entry in each column needs to be duplicated 6 times to match column AJ format.

so if you can write an excel formula or macro that works for the sample data i am sure i can apply it to all my 253 genes.

if you want the full data sheet let me know.. however for simplicity i posted just one.
