Conditional formatting changes based on user selection

I would like help with creating a long range calendar where columns E:NF change color based on the "section" selected by the user. Each section should be its own color. The conditional formatting currently is only gray based on the date range. I would like it to still function the same but just be a different color for each section. Thank you.

    Hello
I'ts not necessary to have the formulas in the cells. You could apply CF formulas but you would need a rule for each Section, for example for Section A, this CF formula applied to the range E6:NF103:

select your colour for each and change the Section - B, C etc.

    Hope this helps.

Thank you for your response. I was trying to avoid creating a conditional format for each section since there will be several more than my example and the need to change the formula each time a section name changes as well. Is there a way to write VBA code to do the formating and function of the calendar?

    Hi
Sorry but my VBA skills are a little limited for something like this. I hadn't noticed you'd posted in the VBA forum, I saw your title and assumed you wanted a CF solution. I would still think using VBA you would have to create code for each Section for it to respond with a particular colour based on the user selection. Hopefully, one of our VBA experts will have an efficient solution.
