Hello,
I would like to have 30 subsequent cells in a row formatted or programmed to automatically copy their content to the cell below IF the cell content put in starts with one of seven specific 3-letter codes (see below).
E.g. if the cell content put in is PGA0001AB, then the PGA causes the whole content to be copied to the cell below.
Caution, the cell below will have the same formatting so when the data is copied to the cell below, it should not be re-copied again to the one below and so on! (Copy data below should actually "kill" the formatting of the cell the data is being copied into).
The specific codes are: RZX RGX PGE PGA PRA P4M P7M
So any cell filled with info starting with one of these 3-letter codes should auto-copy that content to the cell below to avoid mistakes - this is an excel sheet I use for 747 cargo aircraft loading positions. These codes define large pallets that take up two regular positions. Forgetting to double up the lines is a common mistake but potentially costs handsful of money as more unavailable positions are created, which would then need to be offloaded from the aircraft as the spaces are taken already.
Thanks for your help!
Jan in Belgium.
