Excel/VBA is available to me but I dont know whether its the best choice or not.

    Good afternoon All,

First time poster but in weird situation where I have and have not used excel/VBA before. What I mean to say is that I've used/edited code in the past in order to manipulate and export data from excel/vba into a CAD/CAM software (AlphaCAM) so I'm not completely new to the concept of coding, the coding language, or to excel. My experience, however, limited me to what I was presently doing at the time and as such my path to learning has been greatly skewed to a few pieces of the whole deal. I also had not written the original code and was blindly dropped into the middle of it and was forced to learn as I went. What I am asking of you good people today is not how to do it or where to get the information on how to do it because I am capable of finding that out on my own, assuming it exists. I am asking whether or not this can be done using excel/VBA and if so if its the best solution to utilize. Excel is obviously available to me so this is my go to solution today but your feedback will ultimately be my deciding factor. I have the whole concept thought out in my head but what I present to you now wouldn't even be properly called pseudo-code yet but hey you have to start somewhere. I am hoping for a quick response so I don't waste time researching into something when I could have simply asked the gurus from the get go.

I am not timid when it comes to tackling a large scope project and I understand this is probably months of time investment. I also know that there isn't anything out that I can't learn to do when it comes to computers so if you all tell me I have to go out and learn C++ or something then that is what will have to happen as I honestly just don't have the experience with all of them to know. I appreciate your input in advance and thank you all for your time.

My idea is pictured below but is only a small layer of a much much bigger set of functions I intend to have going on after all is said and done but all ultimately using the same mechanics of this.

Is this possible to do using excel/VBA as the solution?

---- Getting to the point edit ----
I want to build custom software to write 'specification documents' and anyone here that understands that process will be able to answer my question in two seconds. Something like arcat but not online and for any manufacturer I wish to include.

    Hi

You will probably get told off by a moderator for having such a vague title. So please amend it as soon as possible to reflect your exact requirement.

I cannot begin to help you until you do.

But in the mean time your requirement is easily met using an excel user form.

Please amend your title and attach your spreadsheet. No-one here will work off an image.

I cannot help it as I am asking a vague question. The picture is more an infographic rather then a look at any code at all. I just want to know if this process will work within the office software solution or if i should look to another language. Can excel/VBA be as complex as I need it to be because everything I'm looking at online isn't really hitting any nails at the moment.
