autofilter, copy and paste into new tab

    Hello everyone,

I am new to this forum and I was wondering would you be able to help me. I apologize if I am in the wrong section of the forum.

I am looking for some hints/ tips on autofilter or a macro which allows me to filter a collection of data, by location and then copy and paste the filtered data for that location into a new tab. For every filter the new location will be copied into its own individual tab.

Does anyone know if this can be done?

I don't know how many filters (and therefore new sheets) you envisage setting up, but you could do this by formulae and just have one sheet where you select the criteria (maybe using drop-downs, like in Autofilter), and the data gets populated automatically in that sheet. Just change the selection in the drop-down in order to get another set of data.

Attach an example workbook if you want to know more.

    Hope this helps.

    Pete

I am not sure if a formula will work for this. I have attached a very basic example of the data I am working with. I would like one tab to have all US cost, another tab all UK cost, another with IRL cost etc.... I think autofilter will work but then I dont know a command to copy, paste and place them into a new tab for each criteria.

    Thanks

Thanks a million for your help. Now if my range is bigger by rows and columns, where in the code will I change the criteria?

In the real data I have 20 columns and 170 rows.

    Thanks

I have adjusted the columns, but the rows would be fine as you are filtering column A.
