    finding duplicates in multiple columns.

I'm looking for a good way to search duplicates in multiple columns. For example, I have in Column A 781 codes, in Column B I have 442 codes, Column C I have 96 codes. I need to find the common code in all three columns. I've tried several different formulas with little to no luck. Anyone have any ideas?

If you using excel 2007 or later you do it by going to Conditional Formatting, Hightlight Cell rules, select Duplicate Values

I tried that but I don't need to find duplicates in all the cells. I need to find duplicates in each column.

    Try formula:

    =COUNTIF($A$1:A1,A1)

and drag formula down. When you see number that is greater than 1, it is duplicate.

I don't think that'll help me either. What I'm needing is to be able to find the duplicate number that's in every column. For example 84943945 is in A511, A771, B294, C89 and D4. I want to be able to find that number that's in all the columns. I hope I'm able to explain what I need a little better.
