    Need help with OT Form.

    hi guys, is anyone can help me with this formula. I'm trying to make an Overtimes form. There are cells for days, working hours and type of days because of the different rate applied. I've attached the file with the drop-down list for the day selected. The no. of hours work must be automatically popup after the day and time in-out been inserted into the cells.

    I've already make a some changes in the vba for sheet1.

    Here the data that I need to sort out.

    Weekdays
    Monday
    Tuesday
    Wednesday
    Thursday
    Friday
    Weekends
    Saturday
    Sunday
    Public Holidays
    Monday(PH)
    Tuesday(PH)
    Wednesday(PH)
    Thursday(PH)
    Friday(PH)

    Sunday(PH)

    Working hours FROM (A) - TO (B)

    Weekdays Rate day/night
    Weekends Rate day/night
    Weekends Rate day/night

    something from my archive.
    In sheet "My holidays" all the holidays in Belgium from 2012-2018. Adapt that to your holidays
    then in the table starting in B21 of sheet1, you fill the green cells, date and 2 hours (start and end).
    The working hours are divided in the following columns.
    You can modify it to your needs.
    If you work after midnight, for example in row 24, I worked untill 18:00 of the next day, that is 24+18=42 so I added there 42:00

    hello kat1po and welcome to the forums

    Thanks for the explanation and the spreadsheet, it is always an excellent idea to attach a sample spreadsheet to demonstrate you issue.

    It is also a really good idea to show the forum members exactly what you think the result should be. In this case I suspect you want a number of normal hours and overtime hours shown at the very least.

    You also need to think about your data entry here as well, how can you start at 5:00 and finish at 1:30 for example. The answer is clear, you are talking about 1:30 on day + 1 but the spreadsheet doesn't know that as you are not entering dates as well as times.

    You will find forum members happy to assist to you get the information you need but it is NOT a good plan to expect them to actually develop your answer, it after all a "helping hand" place

    thanks bsalv and jmac1947 for your info. i'll try and re-edit the code.

    i'm a beginner in this excel, just try and goggling all the code i can use.
