Updating cell

Hi,
I have a macro which imports new data from an outside program and pastes into a dummy worksheet which works great to update new information as it deletes duplicates etc., however i need it to update the required data based on the data entered into column 6 as a reference, Is this possible as I cant get my head around it?

I have attached a copy of the code I'm currently using below, however I need it to update column J providing the data matches data in column M, I have also attached a copy of the file.

Hi, Johnny,

I copied the code over into your workbook and started the macro - you would need to explain what data from which sheet is to be inserted into sheet Dummy as for me the copied macro was inserted (Iīm certain thatīs not the case when you run this macro).

Sorry I was unclear about this, The data is copied from an external source, I have attached another workbook with 2 worksheets, 1 with original data and the other with modified data for your reference, If you just use the macro named "Update" you will see what it does. Hopefullt its a bit clearer now.

I understood the first update to sheet X47 but I canīt get a grip on how X08 should be updated as none of the parts that I may copy into sheet Dummy doesnīt match with what is required for X08 (I donīt get the information for column I as that isnīt included).

Maybe you can give me an update on this.

Sorry should have been clearer its only really the sheet X08 that I need to update so dont worry about the part of the macro which updates x08.
